Armed Security Officer (SUMMER SEASONAL)

Pay: $25/hour
Location: Various Recreational Centers in NJ
Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays – All Shifts Available

• 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
• 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM

We’re looking for armed, experienced security professionals to join our team as seasonal floaters at recreational centers throughout New Jersey. Positions run from May through September, and weekend availability is mandatory.

Position Details:
$25/hour

All weekend shifts availabl

Must be able to float between different sites as needed

Requirements:

• Prior security experience required
• Valid NJ Permit to Carry (armed)
• Valid NJ SORA card
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Reliable transportation
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills

Job Duties:

• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Obtains help by sounding alarms.
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
• Controls traffic by directing drivers.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
• Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
• Maintains the organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
• Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• ACTIVE OR RETIRED LAW ENFORCEMENT PREFERRED
• MUST HAVE VALID CARRY PERMIT / OR EQUIVALENT
• MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE
