Armed Community Patrol Officer

We are seeking an experienced Armed Security Patrol Officer to oversee the safety, security, and peace of mind at an upscale gated condominium complex in Jacksonville, FL. In this role, you aren’t just providing security—you are the face of the community. You will balance a strong, visible security presence with top-tier customer service for residents, guests, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Foot & Mobile Patrols: Conduct regular, thorough patrols of the property, including residential buildings, parking lots, amenities center (pool, gym), and perimeter grounds.
• Access Control: Monitor entry points, verify resident/visitor credentials, and ensure unauthorized individuals do not gain access to the property.
• Incident Response: Swiftly and professionally respond to alarms, medical emergencies, noise complaints, or suspicious activity.
• Customer Service: Greet residents and guests with a welcoming demeanor, assist with basic inquiries, and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
• Detailed Reporting: Maintain an accurate daily shift log and prepare detailed digital incident reports when necessary.
• Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for local law enforcement and emergency services if an incident arises.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Licensing: Must possess a valid Florida Class "D" Security License AND a valid Florida Class "G" Statewide Firearm License (Both must be active and in good standing).
• Driver’s License: Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of armed security experience, preferably in a luxury residential, hospitality, or high-end commercial setting. (Prior law enforcement or military experience is a plus).
• Equipment: Must provide your own approved firearm and duty gear.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal communication and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to remain calm and authoritative under pressure.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, and react quickly in an emergency.
• Background Check: Must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
