Unarmed Security Officer – Overnights (Fulltime)

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Unarmed Security Officer for a part-time role overnight to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring security systems, patrolling designated areas, and responding promptly to incidents.

This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to handle conflict situations with professionalism. Previous experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates with certifications in first aid, CPR, or surveillance are highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a safe environment while developing valuable security skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies in accordance with established protocols
• Maintain detailed incident reports and logs of daily activities
• Enforce property rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor
• Assist visitors and staff with directions or inquiries as needed
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during incidents requiring external intervention
• Conduct loss prevention activities to minimize theft or vandalism
• Support conflict management efforts by de-escalating tense situations effectively and respectfully

Qualifications

• Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is preferred but not required
• Certifications in first aid and CPR are advantageous
• Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV is a plus
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to remain alert during overnight hours, long shifts, and work independently when necessary
• Good communication skills and a professional appearance
• Must be able to pass background checks and meet all licensing requirements for security personnel
