Job Overview

We are seeking vigilant and dedicated Armed/Unarmed Security Officers to safeguard our facilities, assets, and personnel. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance, access control, and incident management. Whether armed or unarmed, your presence will ensure safety, deter threats, and respond effectively to emergencies. Duties

MUST BE LICENCED IN STATE APPLYING TO********************************************

• Monitor premises using surveillance systems and conduct regular patrols to identify potential security risks.
• Control access points using advanced access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations of visitors, employees, and contractors.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, including alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, following established emergency response procedures.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any suspicious activity, accidents, or security breaches for future reference.
• Perform background checks on new employees or vendors as part of the security screening process.
• Operate security equipment such as Taser devices, firearms (if armed), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform first aid or CPR when necessary.
• Conduct thorough searches and manual handling tasks during inspections or loss prevention activities while adhering to safety protocols.
• Enforce policies related to physical security measures, loss prevention, and compliance with legal regulations.
• Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to resolve disputes peacefully while maintaining safety.
• Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or when required by law enforcement procedures.

Experience

• Proven experience in security roles, preferably within corporate environments, law enforcement agencies, military backgrounds or related fields such as surveillance or physical security.
• Knowledge of incident report writing, emergency response procedures, and conflict management strategies.
• Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV surveillance technology, and security equipment operation including firearms handling (for armed officers), tasers, AEDs, and first aid/CPR certification.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely during patrols or incident responses.
• Strong understanding of security regulations and compliance standards relevant to the industry.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally under pressure.
• Physical fitness to undertake patrolling duties for extended periods and respond swiftly in emergency situations.

Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour
