Who are we?

Maison Estelle is a private members’ club set in a Grade I-listed Georgian townhouse on Grafton Street, Mayfair. A ‘hosted home’, bringing people together that have plenty to say and nothing to prove. A new school club (no rules), with old school values of personalised service and discretion.

Overview

As a Senior Security Officer, you will be the most experienced officer on shift, keeping our members, their guests, our team and our buildings safe. You will set the standard for a visible, welcoming security presence, support and guide Security Officers, and take ownership of incidents from first response to final report.

Reporting to Security Management, you will help make sure department standards and procedures are delivered consistently across both properties, acting as the link between the officers on shift and Security Management.

Discretion is everything here: you will protect our members’ privacy and make sure security always feels effortless and in keeping with our members’ club standards of service.

What you will do:

Act as the first point of contact for Security Officers, Duty Managers and Front of House during service, escalating to Security Management as needed.
Coach and support Security Officers, sharing knowledge and helping with onboarding, inductions and on-the-job training.
Carry out on-shift security checks and dynamic risk assessments, reporting risks and suggested improvements to Security Management and, where relevant, the Health and Safety Manager.
Respond to incidents and emergencies quickly and in line with club policy, coordinating officers on the ground until Security Management takes over, and using Body Worn Video in line with policy while balancing compliance with member privacy.
Carry out emergency procedures, including first aid, fire evacuation, invacuation, lockdown and counter-terrorism protocols, guiding colleagues through them.
Complete accurate incident reports and security logs, and check officers’ reports for accuracy before they go to Security Management.

What we are looking for:

At least 5 years’ security experience in luxury hospitality, private members’ clubs, hotels or high-end venues.
Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced colleagues; supervisory experience is a bonus.
Able to guide and motivate colleagues on shift, earning respect through example.
Confident handling incidents, conflict and emergencies calmly and professionally.
Awareness of counter-terrorism good practice and the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 (Martyn’s Law).
A service-first approach: security that is discreet, warm and never intimidating.
Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence (essential).
ACT (Action Counters Terrorism) Awareness training (essential).

The on target earning potential for this role is £41,700 per annum based on a 40 hour contract – comprising a base salary of £40,500 plus a qualified estimate of £1,200 in gratuities and service charge*.
