Unarmed Security Guard (Guard Level I)

Job Summary:

The Unarmed Security Guard protects client property and personnel through visible presence, patrols, monitoring, reporting, and access control duties. This position does not carry firearms while on duty.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and parking areas.
• Check IDs, visitors, vendors, and deliveries.
• Conduct foot patrols of buildings and grounds.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior.
• Prepare daily activity reports and incident reports.
• Provide customer service and directions.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and fire systems.
• Enforce site rules and safety procedures.
• Contact emergency services when necessary.
• Maintain professional appearance and punctuality.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid California BSIS Guard Card (required)
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of security guard experience
• Must pass NACI background check (employment history, conviction records, credit check, driving record, valid driver’s license)
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and remain drug-free; subject to random testing
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Mentally alert and able to respond promptly to emergency situations
• Professional demeanor; able to interact appropriately with military and civilian personnel
• No alcohol or impairing substances within 8 hours prior to any scheduled shift

Pay: $23.09 per hour
