Great Skate – Glendale, AZ

We are currently seeking an experienced, professional, and dependable Security Supervisor to support operations at Great Skate in Glendale, Arizona. This position is ideal for a motivated security professional with strong leadership skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to maintain a safe, family-friendly environment while working with crowds, guests, staff, and management.

Minimum Qualifications

· Must have at least 5 years of experience in a security supervisory role or prior law enforcement experience.

· Must have a current Arizona armed and unarmed guard card.

· Must have a working cell phone and be reachable during scheduled shifts, and for any shift changes that may arise.

· Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.

· Must have your own weapon and required security equipment, if working in an armed capacity.

· Must be able to work with crowds, families, teens, children, and guests of all ages in a calm and professional manner.

· Must be dependable, observant, physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods, and able to respond quickly to incidents.

· Must be available Monday through Friday evenings until midnight, with the possibility of staying later when business needs or special events require it.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

· Supervise security staff and ensure all assigned posts are properly covered during operating hours, events, parties, and high-traffic sessions.

· Train and orient security guards who are new to the site, including reviewing post orders, facility rules, emergency procedures, reporting expectations, and proper guest interaction standards.

· Monitor guest entry, exits, parking lot activity, arcade areas, café areas, seating areas, and rink floor surroundings to help maintain a safe environment.

· Assist with crowd control during busy skate sessions, birthday parties, school events, group events, fundraisers, and special events.

· Professionally enforce facility rules, including conduct expectations, bag check procedures, waiver requirements, no outside food or drink policies, and other posted house rules.

· De-escalate disputes, disruptive behavior, unsafe conduct, and guest concerns while using good judgment and appropriate communication.

· Coordinate with management and staff regarding incidents, removals, emergencies, lost children, injuries, or safety concerns.

· Prepare clear written incident reports and communicate important security updates to management.

· Maintain a visible, professional security presence while treating guests, parents, children, and staff with respect.

· Support emergency response procedures, including assisting with evacuations, medical incidents, and contacting law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.

· Help protect company property, guests, employees, and equipment while ensuring the environment remains clean, fun, friendly, and safe.

Work Environment

This position is located at Great Skate, a busy roller-skating facility in Glendale, AZ that serves families, children, teens, birthday parties, school groups, public skating sessions, and special events. Applicants must be comfortable working in an active entertainment environment with music, crowds, movement, and frequent guest interaction.

Pay: $22.00 per hour
