Security Doorman

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Door Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining security and ensuring a safe environment for guests and staff. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage conflicts effectively. The Door Person will be the first point of contact for visitors, providing excellent customer service while monitoring access to the premises. You will be in charge of scanning customers tickets, making sure they are valid, and stamping their hands and allowing them entry into the building.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, providing a friendly and professional atmosphere.
• Monitor entry and exit points to ensure only authorized individuals gain access.
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, utilizing first aid and CPR skills when necessary.
• Manage conflicts with guests or staff in a calm and effective manner, ensuring safety and security.
• Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing behaviors that may indicate theft or misconduct.
• Collaborate with law enforcement when required, providing information and support during incidents.
• Maintain a detailed log of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
• Have a handle on crowd dispersal at the end of shows and to keep the crowd noise to a minimum to ensure our neighbours are not disturbed.

Experience

• Guard Card
• At least one years experience in the field.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to assess situations quickly.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse groups of people.
