Employment Opportunity

Inter-Con Security is hiring Security Officers to support critical public facilities in the Bronx and is seeking experienced professionals for immediate openings.

Pay Rate: $18.87 per hour

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Active New York State Security Guard License (Required)
• Active F-02 Fire Guard Certificate of Fitness (Required)
• Valid New York State Driver’s License or Government Issued ID
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of one year of security, military, law enforcement, or related experience
• Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
• Authorized to work in the United States

• F-02 Certificate of Fitness
• Social Security Card, Birth Certificate, or Passport
• Employment Authorization Documents (if applicable)

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and report suspicious activity
• Control access to facilities and restricted areas
• Conduct routine patrols and security inspections
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies
• Complete accurate incident reports and activity logs
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and contractor escorts
• Support emergency response procedures and site operations
• Provide professional customer service while maintaining a secure environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to climb stairs and respond quickly to emergencies
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds when required
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
