Security Guard

Job Overview

The Security Guard helps maintain a safe, orderly environment through attentive security practices and fire alarm system inspection, testing, and service. The role requires current New York State security credentials and relevant fire safety and emergency response certifications. Your impact: Consistent monitoring and prompt attention to safety concerns help protect people and property.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned areas and remain alert to safety concerns.
• Support a secure, orderly environment for occupants and visitors.
• Inspect, test, and service fire alarm systems.
• Follow established procedures when responding to incidents.
• Use CPR, AED, and first aid training when appropriate.

Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• New York State Security Guard License required.
• Current eight-hour annual in-service security guard certificate required.
• FDNY S-97 Certificate of Fitness for Fire Alarm Systems Inspection, Testing and Service Principal required.
• CPR, AED, and first aid certification required.

Pay: $21.70 – $24.75 per hour
