Unarmed Security Guar/DOORMAN

Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and professional Unarmed Security Guard/Doorman to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. This role involves monitoring access points, conducting surveillance, managing conflict de-escalation, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a secure environment through proactive patrols, incident reporting, and adherence to security regulations. All security positions are paid roles that play a vital part in safeguarding our community and assets.

Responsibilities

• Control access to the facility using access control systems, verifying identities of visitors, contractors, and staff
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches
• Utilize CCTV surveillance equipment to oversee property and identify potential security threats
• Respond promptly to emergencies by following established procedures for fire safety, medical incidents, or other urgent situations
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security concerns, incidents, or violations observed during shifts
• Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to handle disputes calmly and professionally while maintaining safety
• Perform background checks on visitors or vendors as required by company policies and security protocols

Requirements

• Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly preferred
• Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and access control technologies
• Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and Taser use is advantageous
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and physical security measures when necessary
• Strong understanding of emergency response procedures and fire safety protocols
• Excellent communication skills for incident report writing and conflict management
• Demonstrated ability to perform background checks and ensure compliance with security regulations
• Physical fitness to conduct patrolling duties and respond swiftly in emergency situations
