Status: Full Time | Permanent Schedule (41 Hours Per Week)

The Role & Your Impact

SIG 9 Global is hiring an experienced Armed Security Screener & Floor Officer to support a high‑visibility client site. This role requires exceptional professionalism, strong situational awareness, and mastery of screening procedures.

You will serve as a frontline security presence—conducting screening operations, enforcing access control, and maintaining safety and order throughout the facility. Your ability to remain composed, observant, and consistent directly impacts the safety of the environment and the confidence of all who enter.

This role is ideal for someone who understands that effective armed security requires precision, discipline, and unwavering adherence to protocol.

Core ResponsibilitiesScreening & Access Control (Primary Function)

  • Conduct professional bag checks and personal item inspections
  • Operate handheld metal detectors and perform pat‑down searches when required
  • Enforce access control procedures with firmness, courtesy, and consistency
  • Maintain a strong, visible security presence at screening points
  • Ensure all screening activity aligns with site protocols and safety standards

Floor Operations & Safety Oversight

  • Maintain continuous situational awareness throughout assigned areas
  • Conduct standing post duties for extended periods
  • Respond to incidents using sound judgment and de‑escalation techniques
  • Document all incidents, observations, and activities through clear, accurate reports
  • Support emergency procedures and coordinate with site leadership as needed

Team Contribution & Professional Standards

  • Collaborate with fellow officers and supervisors to maintain operational alignment
  • Communicate observations and recommendations that strengthen site security
  • Model professionalism, accountability, and respect in every interaction
  • Uphold SIG 9 Global’s culture of discipline, learning, and continuous improvement

Qualifications & Professional Requirements Required

  • Valid Florida Class G and D Security License
  • Minimum 2–3 years of armed security experience
  • Demonstrated experience with screening procedures (bag checks, metal detectors, pat‑downs)
  • Strong command presence and ability to stand for long periods
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Positive, professional attitude and polished appearance
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as required
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must pass pre‑employment and random drug screening
  • Must pass criminal and role‑relevant background screening
  • 21 years of age or older
  • U.S. Citizen or authorized to work with valid documentation

Preferred

  • Experience in high‑profile, and high‑traffic environments
  • Prior training in de‑escalation, defensive tactics, or emergency response
  • CPR/AED certification
  • Experience with access control systems or screening equipment

Compensation

  • $21.00 per hour
  • Overtime paid after 40 hours in the work week
  • All training paid at the full hourly rate
  • Minimum of 16 hours of paid onboarding and site‑specific training
  • Biweekly pay via direct deposit

Permanent Work Schedule (41 Hours Per Week)

This schedule does not rotate or change. Officers must be available for weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as needed.

Sunday 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM 11.5 hrs
Monday 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM 12 hrs
Tuesday 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM 6 hrs
Friday 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM 5 hrs
Saturday 10:30 AM – 5:00 PM 6.5 hrs
