Armed Security Officer/ Manager

Position Overview:

The Armed Security Officer/ Security Supervisor will be responsible for leading day-to-day security operations at a high-profile location in Miami. The role requires strong leadership, proven field experience, and excellent communication skills. Candidates must have an active Florida D & G license, and a background in military or law enforcement service.

Minimum Requirements:

• Prior law enforcement or military experience (required)
• Proven track record managing security teams in field operations
• Valid and active Florida D and G Security Licenses
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in the security industry
• Experience managing on-site security teams at facilities or similar environments
• Must submit a professional resume to be considered
• Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus)
• Clean background, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation
• Availability for full-time, on-site work, including weekends or off-hours as needed

Duties

• Secure property and personnel by patrolling, scanning and controlling facility, grounds and access points.
• Maintains a secure and safe environment by monitoring CCTV and Access Control systems.
• Complete reports from recorded observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities and question visitors.
• Respond to emergencies, report irregularities, inform violators of policies, protocols and procedures and restraining trespassers.
• Attend all MANDATORY training sessions throughout the year. Review and understand protocols and procedures and take part in training.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• At least 4 years of military, law enforcement or first responder background.
• Must have or are willing to obtain an active Florida D & G license.
• Ability to cope with emergencies and uncertainties; ability to adhere to operational planning and procedures; surveillance skills; ability to exercise sound judgment and objectivity; dependable; ability to sustain emotional control; honesty and integrity; professionalism; reporting skills.

Physical

• Ability to stand and walk in all weather conditions for long periods of time. Suit & tie dress code required for special events.

• Firearms proficiency assessment
• Physical fitness assessment
• Mental and cognitive assessment
