Location: W Hillsboro Blvd & Nob Hill Rd, Parkland, FL
Schedule: Full-Time | 12-Hour Shifts | 6:00 AM–6:00 PM / 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
Pay: $18.00–$19.00 per hour based on performance and experience

This is a busy, high-volume residential gatehouse operating 24/7. This position combines access control, customer service, computer work, and professional communication.

The 6:00 AM–6:00 PM shift is especially demanding. You will handle a constant flow of residents, guests, vendors, contractors, and deliveries while using DwellingLIVE to verify and document access.

This is not a post where you simply sit at a gate and open it. You must be able to think, communicate, multitask, and make good decisions while staying professional under pressure.

What We’re Looking For

• Dependability: You must report to work on time and be ready to work your full 12-hour shift.
• Common sense and good judgment: Not every situation will be covered by a written instruction. You must be able to assess situations and make sound decisions.
• Strong computer skills: DwellingLIVE is used throughout the shift. You must be comfortable typing, searching records, verifying information, and documenting access quickly and accurately.
• Professional communication: You will communicate with residents, guests, vendors, management, and other officers both in person and over the phone.
• Customer-service skills: You must remain courteous and composed even when the gate is busy or someone is frustrated.
• Attention to detail: Names, addresses, identification, vehicle information, and access authorization must be verified correctly.
• Professional appearance: Full company uniform must be clean, properly worn, and presentable every shift.
• Clean work environment: Officers are responsible for keeping the gatehouse clean, organized, and professional.

Qualifications

• Florida Class D Security License required
• Previous security experience required
• Gatehouse, access-control, concierge, or front-desk experience strongly preferred
• DwellingLIVE experience is a major plus
• Strong computer and typing skills
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts
• Must pass required background screening

Florida Class G License is a plus. This is not an armed position; however, additional licensing and professional training are viewed favorably.

Responsibilities

• Control and monitor vehicle and pedestrian access
• Verify residents, guests, vendors, contractors, and deliveries
• Accurately process and document access through DwellingLIVE
• Answer gatehouse telephone calls professionally
• Follow community access procedures and post orders
• Apply community rules consistently and professionally
• Recognize situations requiring supervisor or management involvement
• Observe and report suspicious or unusual activity
• Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports
• Maintain an organized and professional gatehouse

Compensation

Starting pay is $18.00 per hour.

Officers who demonstrate strong attendance, punctuality, communication, DwellingLIVE proficiency, good judgment, professionalism, and the ability to independently handle the post may be considered for an increase to $19.00 per hour following their performance evaluation.

The $19.00 rate is performance-based and is not automatic.
