Security Post Commander

West Coast Security & Patrol is seeking a dependable, professional Post Commander to oversee daily security operations at an assigned client site. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to supervise officers, manage schedules, and maintain a positive relationship with the client.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary onsite contact for the client, assigned security officers, and company management.
• Prepare and manage officer schedules, coordinate shift coverage, and promptly address call-outs.
• Supervise officers and ensure compliance with post orders, site policies, and company standards.
• Conduct shift briefings and ensure important information is communicated between shifts.
• Train and coach officers on access control, patrol procedures, emergency response, and reporting.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, uniforms, and overall performance.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify that officers remain alert and complete assigned duties.
• Review daily activity and incident reports for accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
• Address client concerns professionally and keep company management informed of incidents and staffing issues.
• Coordinate responses to emergencies and contact emergency services when necessary.
• Maintain accurate scheduling, training, and performance records.
• Recommend corrective action and follow up on performance concerns.
• Lead by example and perform security duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience required; supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Valid California BSIS Guard Card.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage schedules, resolve staffing issues, and hold officers accountable.
• Professional appearance and a customer-service-focused attitude.
• Sound judgment and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Comfortable using email, scheduling software, and electronic reporting systems.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
• Availability to respond to urgent operational needs and staffing changes.
