Job Overview

As an unarmed Security Guard, you’ll help protect people, property, and daily operations through attentive surveillance, access control, and regular patrols. You’ll respond calmly to concerns, provide helpful customer service, and follow site procedures and applicable security regulations. This role requires sound judgment, clear communication, and readiness to act when situations change.

Duties

• Patrol assigned areas, monitor CCTV (closed-circuit television), and use access control systems to identify and report security concerns.
• Support entry procedures, including authorized access checks and background checks when assigned and permitted by policy.
• Respond to emergencies, apply conflict de-escalation and conflict management techniques, and follow emergency response procedures.
• Write accurate incident reports and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
• Your impact: By spotting concerns early and responding professionally, you help visitors and staff feel safer and keep site operations moving.

Experience

• Experience in security, physical security, surveillance, or customer service is helpful; military or law enforcement experience is preferred, not required.
• Knowledge of compliance with security regulations, patrolling, and access procedures is an asset.

Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour
