This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your security skills in a lively, fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for maintaining a secure atmosphere, managing access control, and responding swiftly to incidents, all while providing exceptional customer service to event attendees. Your role is vital in creating a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

Responsibilities

• Control access points using access control systems, verifying credentials and performing identification checks on individuals entering the venue.
• Conduct thorough patrolling of the event area to ensure physical security and prevent unauthorized entry or disruptive behavior.
• Respond promptly to emergencies by executing emergency response procedures, including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or disturbances for future review and action.
• Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary to assist with equipment or crowd management.
• De-escalate conflicts using conflict management techniques, ensuring a peaceful environment while adhering to security regulations and compliance standards.

Experience

• Prior experience in security roles within events, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in surveillance technology including CCTV systems and access control systems.
• Certified in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use; additional certifications such as firearm handling are a plus.
• Strong understanding of physical security practices including patrolling, incident report writing, and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to perform id checks and conduct thorough security screenings.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage conflict de-escalation effectively under pressure.
• Physical fitness to perform duties involving heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking.

Pay: $35.00 – $55.00 per hour
