Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Unarmed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and visitors. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting patrols, and maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and customer service. Your presence will help deter unauthorized activity, respond swiftly to incidents, and uphold the safety standards of our organization. Duties

• Monitor and control access points using access control systems to authorize authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including indoor and outdoor areas, to identify potential security risks or breaches.
• Utilize CCTV surveillance equipment to monitor activity across the site, ensuring all areas remain secure.
• Respond promptly to alarms or suspicious activity, following established emergency response procedures.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual occurrences for review and follow-up
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors with directions or inquiries while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Skills

• Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems and monitoring multiple feeds simultaneously.
• Knowledge of security regulations and compliance standards relevant to physical security operations.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or incident management.
• Excellent conflict de-escalation and conflict management skills to handle tense situations calmly and effectively.
• Familiarity with emergency response procedures such as first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and fire safety protocols.
• Experience in law enforcement or military background is advantageous for understanding security protocols and incident management
• Strong communication skills for writing clear incident reports and interacting professionally with staff, visitors, and law enforcement agencies.
• Ability to perform patrolling efficiently while maintaining high attention to detail across various environments.
• Physical fitness to support ongoing patrolling duties, including heavy lifting when required.

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
