Armed Security Officer – 55+ Residential Community (North Dallas) $17/hr · 24 – 36 hrs/week

6PM–6AM · Rotating 4‑On / 3‑Off

A licensed private security company is hiring a professional Armed Security Officer for a stable overnight position at a 55+ apartment community in North Dallas. This role requires strong awareness, professionalism, and respectful interaction with senior residents.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $17.00 per hour
• Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Hours: 36–48 weekly
• Schedule: Rotating 4 days on / 3 days off

Job Duties

• Maintain a visible, professional armed presence
• Patrol buildings, parking areas, and common spaces
• Document activities and incidents in shift logs
• Respond to resident concerns professionally
• Enforce community rules and deter unauthorized activity
• Follow all Texas regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Valid Texas Level III Commissioned (Armed) License
• Age 21+
• Valid driver’s license or state ID
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
• Professional appearance and communication

Uniform Requirements (Texas Private Security Act & 37 TAC §35.14)

• Company‑issued or approved uniform shirt with required identifiers
• Uniform pants meeting company standards
• Security officer badge (visible, state‑compliant)
• Nameplate with last name
• Company‑approved duty belt and equipment
• Commissioned firearm carried per state law and company policy
• Any additional items required under 37 TAC §35.14
