Presbyterian Village North is hiring experienced, motivated Full-Time Level II Security Officers; available all shifts; days off vary for shift.
Valid Texas drivers license & current Guard Card are required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Models a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better
- Is friendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workers
- Ensure resident/patient, visitor, and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards
- Maintain good attendance record
- Patrol grounds as a Non-Commissioned Officer to ensure no one is on the property without permission
- Patrol includes: walking, driving golf carts and/or driving security vehicle
- Stays in contact with walkie-talkie with Guest Relations and other personnel to ensure safety of property
- Reacts to 911 calls to meet ambulance or fire department at the front gate and escort them to the appropriate building
- Assists residents who need special care to navigate the property via walking or driving
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability of passing an FBI background investigation to facilitate licensing by the Texas Department of Public Safety, Private Security Bureau
- Ability to provide a valid Texas Drivers License; no ID cards
- Previous experience with security/or other building services required
- Guard Card required by hire date.
- Ability to communicate with the senior population, other staff members, and visitors in a respectful manner
- Ability to effectively resolve problems
- Ability to gain trust of the resident population
- Ability to react quickly to unknown circumstances and remain calm
- Ability to perform Essential Duties
- Ability to perform work tasks within the Physical Demand Requirements
- Ability to comply with the Resident Bill of Rights and Employee Responsibilities
- Ability to comply with organizational and departmental safety policies and procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language
- Ability to adjust to changes in shift schedule
- Genuine caring for and interest in the care of mature adults, persons with disabilities and hospice patients
