Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity and ensure safety compliance.
- Operate access control systems to authorize or deny entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors.
- Utilize CCTV surveillance equipment to monitor security footage and identify potential security breaches or safety hazards.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies by following established procedures for fire safety, medical incidents, or security threats.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security concerns, breaches, or accidents with clarity and accuracy.
- Perform background checks on new employees or visitors as part of the access control process.
- Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to resolve disputes peacefully while maintaining safety standards.
- Execute manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when required for patrol equipment or security setups.
- Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents by providing relevant information and support.
- Conduct thorough searches and inspections of individuals or property to prevent theft or unauthorized access.
Experience
- Proven experience in physical security roles such as security guard, military personnel, law enforcement officer, or related fields.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems including CCTV cameras and access control systems.
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures including first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and fire safety protocols.
- Ability to handle firearm handling and Taser deployment if required by the role’s regulations.
- Strong skills in incident report writing with attention to detail and clarity.
- Experience performing background checks and conducting compliance with security regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with conflict management abilities to interact professionally with diverse individuals.
- Physical fitness to perform patrolling duties, heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and maintain alertness during long shifts.
