Job Overview

Sentry Security and Investigations is seeking a professional, dependable, and motivated Zone Supervisor to assist with field operations throughout the Columbus area. This position works closely with the Regional Manager and Nighttime Connecteam Coordinator to support security officers, conduct post inspections, coach personnel, maintain client relationships, and respond to operational needs.

The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, strong leadership abilities, sound judgment, and the ability to professionally represent the company in the field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine post inspections and site visits.
• Ensure officers are following post orders and company policies.
• Coach and mentor security officers in the field.
• Assist with training and development of new personnel.
• Perform quality assurance checks at client locations.
• Respond to operational issues and client concerns.
• Provide emergency shift coverage when necessary.
• Assist with staffing shortages and call-offs.
• Complete site inspection reports and operational documentation.
• Maintain professional communication with clients, officers, management, and dispatch personnel.
• Identify and address performance concerns through coaching and corrective action when appropriate.
• Serve as a positive leader and representative of Sentry Security and Investigations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License.
• Reliable personal vehicle.
• Valid automobile insurance.
• Smartphone with internet access.
• Ability to pass BCI (Bureau of Criminal Investigation) and FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) background checks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Open availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to patrol large properties on foot.
• Must be able to enter and exit a vehicle frequently throughout the shift.
• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous security experience.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
• Experience working with apartment communities, hotels, commercial properties, or similar environments.
