Special Events Security Officer

Job Description:

We are seeking reliable, professional, and experienced Executive Protection Agents to join our team for high-profile red carpet events, including SXSW in Austin, TX. As a key member of our security team, you’ll ensure the safety and security of VIPs, guests, staff, and attendees at these prestigious events. Your role will involve crowd control, VIP protection, and maintaining a smooth, secure event experience for all involved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Crowd Management & Control: Ensure smooth crowd movement and prevent any disturbances, especially around the red carpet area and VIP sections.
• VIP & Celebrity Protection: Assist in securing VIPs, celebrities, and high-profile guests during their arrival, red carpet appearances, and venue movements.
• Access Control: Check credentials and monitor access to restricted areas, ensuring only authorized individuals enter secure zones.
• Surveillance & Monitoring: Actively monitor event spaces using security systems and cameras to detect any suspicious activities or security concerns.
• Emergency Response: Respond quickly and calmly to any emergencies, including coordinating with event management and local law enforcement for immediate action.
• Customer Service: Provide high-level service to attendees, offering assistance with directions, event procedures, and general inquiries while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in event security, crowd control, or related roles (red carpet/event experience is a plus).
• Strong ability to stay calm and composed in high-stress or high-profile situations.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, friendly attitude.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and manage crowd flow effectively.
• Availability to work during evenings, weekends, and late-night hours as needed.
• Valid TX Level 4 Security Guard Card
• Prior experience with large-scale events is a bonus.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour
