ARMED MOBILE PATROL OFFICER / Overnights | Set Schedule | Take-Home Patrol Vehicle | Benefits

Due to continued growth, Ranger Protection Agency is hiring experienced Armed Mobile Patrol Officers to join our Overnight Mobile Patrol Team in the Greater Austin area.

Applicants MUST currently hold an ACTIVE Texas Level III (Armed) Commissioned Security Officer License APPROVED BY DPS.

Pending applications, completed courses, or paperwork awaiting DPS approval do NOT meet this requirement.

Applicants must also:

• Have a valid Texas Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Have relevant multi-site mobile patrol experience — security patrol experience preferred; comparable route-based experience such as ATM service, delivery, or similar work will be considered
• Own a firearm and at least one less-lethal option (O/C, baton, or Taser) with appropriate training/certification
• Currently live or work in the Greater Austin area
• Be available to work weekends
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Answer ALL Indeed screening questions

THE POSITION

Ranger Protection Agency is a "Resolve and Report" security company. Our officers are expected to be proactive—not simply observe and report.

Mobile Patrol Officers work multiple properties each night and are expected to identify and address issues using the appropriate tools available to them, including lease violations, Criminal Trespass Warnings, and lawful arrest authority.

This is a fast-paced position that requires strong time-management skills, good judgment, self-discipline, professional communication, and the ability to work independently.

Schedule

• 50 hours per week
• 5 nights per week / 10-hour shifts
• Set weekly schedule
• Overnight shifts
• Weekend availability is mandatory

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must:

• Conduct themselves professionally with clients, residents, law enforcement, and the public
• Speak, read, and write English fluently
• Be comfortable driving throughout the shift and navigating multiple patrol locations
• Be physically capable of repeatedly getting in and out of a patrol vehicle and conducting foot patrols throughout the night
• Have the judgment and initiative necessary to address problems rather than simply document them
