Residential Security Officer

We are currently seeking experienced SIA-licensed Security Officer for Residential Security Officer role. Sword is a Recognised Service Provider proudly working with the Living Wage Foundation. We are committed to fair pay for our staff, who carry out vital work for many organisations. The hourly rate for Residential Security Officer is £17.93, including Holiday Pay.

IMPORTANT: This role is offered on a flexible contract, meaning shift availability may vary week to week. The position operates on a 7-day rota and shifts may be scheduled across weekdays and weekends. While we aim to offer regular work, we cannot guarantee a fixed number of hours each month, as demand may fluctuate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a vigilant presence on-site, noting and reporting any unusual activity
• Protect premises from criminal damage such as vandalism
• Complete daily logs and incident reports accurately
• Respond calmly and appropriately to any incidents, following procedures
• Comply with the instructions of your manager
• Ensure compliance with the company’s policies and site-specific instructions

Requirements

• You must have a valid SIA Close Protection or Door Supervisor Licence.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Minimum 2 years experience in the security role.
• Previous experience in Close Protection role is required.
• Checkable 5 year work/study history ( 6 Weeks probation period )
• You must be aged 18 or older
• A positive and energetic approach to your job
• Excellent communication skills and a smile!
