Job Description

  • Job Overview

    • Position: Duty security supervisor
    • Rate of pay: £17.10 p/h.
      Hours: 12hr shifts (07.00 – 19.00 and 19.00 – 07.00).
      Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days, nights weekends & bank holidays).
      Location – 1 More London Place , London, SE1 2AF, UK

    Join our onsite security team in London bridge , working within security management team . As a Shift supervisor, you will be responsible for shift operation and security team on site , incident and management emergency management and escalation. You will play a crucial role in protecting the client’s estate, assets, personnel, and events ensuring compliance with security industry standards and keep up the on-site security teams through effective collaboration and communication.

    • The Supervisor will play a vital role to the security and protection of the client estate as well as it’s people, you will play an integral part of the physical security team for people and building protection , security escalations and will liaise with a valued watchkeeper service that actively engages in threat monitoring, following the BAU, Emergency and incident management SOP..

    Main duties

    • Responsible for day to day security team activity.
    • Managi9ng the security team uniform, SIA and attendance
    • Monitoring the access shared emails
    • Responsible for DOB system
    • CCTV Monitoring & Surveillance: Operate and monitor state-of-the-art CCTV systems, ensuring continuous surveillance of key areas with new technology implemented to enhance monitoring.
    • Incident Management & Response: Coordinate responses to security breaches, unauthorised access, and emergency situations, ensuring prompt and effective action is taken as per SOPs
    • Communication & Coordination: Act as a central point of contact for security officers, workplace teams and stakeholder.
    • Access Control & Alarm Systems: Handle the companies access control system to include the management of access group within the system and provision of recertification data on request. Monitor the building Alarms ensuring a proficient response compliant with current security protocols.
    • Disruptive Effects Framework: base the implementation of security strategies designed to mitigate risks and enhance safety.
    • Emergency Procedures: Assist in crisis situations, coordinating responses with relevant teams and emergency services to base the security management team.
    • Compliance & Reporting: Maintain accurate records in the security management system, log incidents, and adhere to AI’s and SOP’s .

    Person Specification

    • Excelled interpersonal skills; be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
    • Ability to communicate confidently at all levels including stakeholder engagement.
    • Ability to manage own workload to meet team deadlines.
    • SIA DS & CCTV License (mandatory for the roles).
    • Previous experience in a supervisor and management, demonstrating the ability to maintain composure and a calm demeanour in a pressurised setting.
    • Aptitude to work on a variety of security systems unique to the contract (full training will be given)
    • Ability to analyse security data and make informed decisions.
    • Knowledge of travel risk management and the ability to review multiple data sources to formulate a cohesive report to EY Staff.
    • A good all-round understanding of site security procedures and SOP’s acting as a focal point of contact for staff members of all levels within the business.
    • Understanding of the Disruptive Effects Framework and its application in security.
    • First Aid & Emergency Response Training (preferred).
    • A willingness to learn and develop and show high level of duty and professionalism.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT, Teams and SharePoint and ability to stay current with system information, changes and updates.


    Health and Safety responsibilities

    • Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
    • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
    • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
    • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;

    Information Security

    • Ensure compliance with Mitie’s information security procedures in all activities;
    • Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager;
    • Report actual and suspected security incidents;
