Security Officer

Position Overview

We are seeking professional and dependable Unarmed Security Officers to provide safety and security services at a medical facility. This position requires strong observational skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas of the medical facility.
• Control access to the building, including visitor check-in and badge verification.
• Provide a visible security presence to deter disturbances and unauthorized activity.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarm activations.
• Assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and general inquiries.
• Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Coordinate with facility staff and local law enforcement when necessary.
• Enforce site policies and procedures in a professional manner.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid Texas Non-Commissioned (Unarmed) Security License (Level II).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous security or healthcare security experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to remain calm in high-stress or emergency situations.
• Clean background and ability to pass drug screening.

Work Environment

This position is located within a medical facility and requires frequent interaction with patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals. Officers must maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality at all times.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 – $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
