Security Officer

Overview

As a Security Officer, you help maintain a safe, orderly environment through attentive observation, clear communication and prompt, proportionate responses. You stay alert to changing conditions, follow site procedures and treat everyone with professionalism and respect.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols and use surveillance techniques to identify potential safety or security concerns.
• Monitor CCTV, report unusual activity and keep clear, accurate records of incidents and actions taken.
• Support loss prevention by observing activity, following procedures and escalating concerns appropriately.
• Respond calmly to incidents, provide first aid within your capabilities and coordinate with colleagues or emergency services when needed.
• Your impact: Timely observations and clear incident updates help colleagues respond effectively and keep people informed.

Experience

Required: You can communicate clearly, remain attentive during routine duties, record information accurately and respond calmly while following procedures. Preferred: Experience in a security or related role, with familiarity in surveillance, loss prevention, CCTV monitoring or first aid, will help you contribute confidently and support consistent site safety.

Must have vehicle for transport as shifts end late at night.

Pay: £13.11 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 40.0 per week
