SIA Door Supervisor

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and vigilant Door Supervisor to join our security team in Guildford GU11 1BH. This essential role involves maintaining a safe and welcoming environment at our venue, ensuring the safety of staff and visitors alike. As a Door Supervisor, you will be the first point of contact, responsible for managing access, monitoring premises, and upholding high standards of security. Your energetic presence will help create an enjoyable yet secure atmosphere for all attendees.

Duties

• Manage entry and exit points efficiently, verifying identification and authorizations for all visitors and staff
• Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and deterring theft or vandalism within the venue
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, coordinating with emergency services if necessary
• Enforce venue policies and procedures with professionalism and confidence, ensuring a positive experience for guests
• Perform routine patrols of the premises to detect hazards, ensure safety protocols are followed, and maintain overall security integrity
• Keep detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and surveillance footage for reporting purposes
• The on-site manager will be briefing you the site duties that could be less than the aforementioned.

Requirements

• Proven experience in security or surveillance roles, with a strong understanding of loss prevention techniques
• Valid Door Supervisor license (SIA license) is essential for legal compliance
• Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations; excellent communication skills are vital
• Physically fit with the stamina to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods throughout shifts
