Pay:

• $25.00 per alarm response
• $18.25+ per hour for security assignments (higher wages may be offered depending on the site, experience, and specific contract requirements).

Westridge Security/Mountain Eagle is expanding our team of professional, reliable, and customer-focused Security Guards. We are currently accepting applications for Casual / On-Call Security Guards throughout British Columbia.

This position is ideal for individuals looking to supplement their income, retired law enforcement or military personnel, students, or anyone seeking flexible work. Successful applicants will become part of our active on-call roster and will be contacted as work becomes available.

Assignments vary and may include:

• Alarm responses
• Mobile patrols
• Construction site security
• Commercial and industrial security
• Special events
• Vacation coverage
• Emergency shift coverage
• Fire watch
• Remote and rural site assignments

There are no guaranteed hours, but opportunities become available regularly. You choose the assignments that fit your availability.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security Worker Licence (or willingness to obtain one—we can assist)
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence is considered an asset
• Reliable transportation is preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Able to write clear and accurate reports
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
• Clear Criminal Record Check

Job Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned properties
• Respond to alarms and emergency situations
• Secure buildings and property
• Complete incident and daily activity reports
• Monitor access to properties
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and the public
• Report hazards, maintenance concerns, and suspicious activity
• Work safely while following company policies and procedures

Work Location

Assignments are available throughout British Columbia, including remote and rural locations. Applicants from all communities are encouraged to apply. Travel opportunities may be available depending on operational needs.
