ValourGuard is always seeking highly motivated and qualified individuals to join our team. Preference is given to military and law enforcement veterans but is not a requirement to work with us. Equivalent experience and motivation are also acceptable traits.

What you can expect from ValourGuard.

• A starting wage of $18 per hour and up to $23 per hour.

• Paid Uniforms after 1 year of service.

Supplemented holiday pay after 1 year of service increasing with each year employed.

ValourGuard is looking for you if you are:

• Physically fit. You must be physically able to perform the duties of a ValourGuard operator.
• Highly motivated
• Ready and able to work in stressful situations, weather conditions and make quick decisions.
• Willing to work nights and or shift work.
• Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Must be able to work on your own without supervision and be reliable to perform your duties alone and with others.

ValourGuard is seeking individuals who are licensed in Ontario to work as security guards. The following qualifications are considered an asset to working for ValourGuard. Although training is provided, We are seeking individuals with some or all of these qualifications in order to save time in the hiring process.

• Criminal Record and vulnerable sector check.
• A valid and clean G level driver’s license
• Possess a valid Possession Acquisition License for Firearms in Canada.
• Previously held or currently hold an ATC from the Chief Firearms Officer of Ontario
• Valid First Aid/CPR
• Handcuff and baton certified in Ontario.
• Knowledge of the provincial offences act of Ontario, specifically the trespass to property act.

Individuals who already hold a Cadre number as a deputized officer for the city of Ottawa by law (parking enforcement).

In order to obtain employment with ValourGuard you must meet the following criteria. Those who do not meet these criteria will not be considered for employment, as they are required to properly perform the duties of the job.

• Valid Ontario Security license
• Valid driver’s license with clean or reasonable driving record
• Current First Aid/CPR
• You must provide a current criminal record/vulnerable sector check
• Must be a Canadian Citizen legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Must be willing to provide references of previous employers or teachers.
