Security Guard

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their properties. This role requires a proactive approach to surveillance, loss prevention, and law enforcement practices. The Security Guard will monitor premises, conduct regular patrols, and respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises.
• Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities.
• Utilize surveillance equipment including CCTV systems to monitor activities and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Respond quickly to alarms or emergency situations, assessing the situation and taking appropriate action.
• Prepare detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences for management review.
• Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary to address security breaches or criminal activity.
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients, employees, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in law enforcement or security roles is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with surveillance systems including CCTV is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and strategies is an asset.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policy.

HOURS – FULL-TIME and PART-TIME

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
