SECURITY GUARD – Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) | Night Shift | Ottawa – Securitas

Securitas is seeking vigilant, reliable, and professional Security Guards to ensure the safety and security of high-sensitivity private sites. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment by performing the following duties:

• Access control
• Frequent interior and exterior foot patrols
• Deterring theft, vandalism, and intrusions
• Preventing unauthorized access
• Enforcing client rules and regulations
• Responding to emergency calls and situations

The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, attention to detail, discretion, and strong communication skills.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

• Available to work night shifts on 12-hour schedules (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM)
• Must have resided in Canada for at least the past 10 years
• Bilingual in French and English (mandatory)
• Ability to travel to and work in Ottawa (contract location)
• Willing to undergo a highly invasive and extremely personal interview and security screening process
• Must hold a valid BSP license and/or an Ontario Security Guard license

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT – MANDATORY

Applicants must be eligible to obtain an Enhanced Top Secret Government Security Clearance.

This process, conducted by Government Security Officials, is highly intrusive and includes, but is not limited to:

• Full, honest disclosure of detailed personal information covering the past 10 years (residency, employment, education, travel, etc.)
• Personal security interview
• Interviews with neighbors, colleagues, and/or personal references
• Mandatory screenings:
• Criminal background check (including fingerprints)
• Polygraph examination
• Psychological assessment
• Complete credit check and full financial disclosure (assets and debts)

Any omission or false declaration will result in immediate disqualification.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Reliable, mature, and professional
• Available to work according to operational needs (days and/or nights)
• Ability to conduct both interior and exterior patrols, day and night
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to follow directives and work effectively as part of a team
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, email, access control systems, etc.)
• Education in Law and Security, Corrections, Security Management, or related university-level studies (an asset)
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (an asset)
