Warehouse Security Officer

Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents. This position is vital in maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and loss prevention measures. Prior experience in law enforcement or security is preferred but not required. The role involves monitoring surveillance equipment, patrolling designated areas, and enforcing safety protocols to protect company assets and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks.
• Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV to observe activity and detect suspicious behavior.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including medical situations or safety hazards.
• Enforce access control procedures by verifying credentials and managing visitor check-ins.
• Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation of security activities.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or vandalism and intervening when necessary.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during incidents requiring external intervention.
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and legal regulations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in law enforcement, security, surveillance, or loss prevention is advantageous.
• Knowledge of CCTV operation and surveillance techniques.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to identify suspicious activity quickly.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and effectively.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure during emergency situations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in security procedures is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $37,000.00-$48,000.00 per year
