Security Guard

About the Role

We are currently hiring professional, reliable, and detail-oriented Security Guards for weekday and weekends; day and night shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, staff, visitors, and property across various client sites.

Position Details

• Schedule: Weekend and Weekday shifts (Day and Night shifts available)
• Employment Type: Full-time and Part-time positions available
• Locations: Commercial buildings, construction sites, retail plazas, offices, and residential properties

Responsibilities

• Perform regular indoor/outdoor patrols of the property
• Monitor entrances, exits, common areas, and CCTV systems where applicable
• Observe, deter, and report suspicious activity promptly
• Complete clear, accurate daily activity logs and incident reports
• Respond professionally to alarms, emergencies, and client requests
• Provide excellent customer service to tenants, visitors, and facility staff
• Enforce site rules, safety procedures, and secure all doors, gates, and access points

Requirements

• Valid Alberta Security License (Required)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professional appearance, punctual demeanor, and strong conflict resolution abilities
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Basic computer and smartphone literacy (for electronic reporting systems)
• Personally owned vehicle is a strong asset
• Previous security experience preferred, but not required
