Security Guard

Overview

As a Security Guard, you help maintain a safe, orderly environment through attentive observation, visible presence, and prompt communication. Your work supports the well-being of people on site and helps colleagues respond effectively to security concerns.

Duties

• Monitor assigned areas through regular patrols and surveillance, noting unusual activity and reporting concerns promptly.
• Observe CCTV feeds, communicate relevant updates, and follow established procedures when an incident requires attention.
• Support loss prevention by watching for potential risks, protecting property, and documenting incidents accurately.
• Provide a professional, helpful presence while directing people and sharing appropriate information with colleagues.

Requirements

Required: Clear communication, sound observation, patience, accurate recordkeeping, and basic computer skills to monitor activity, document events, and relay information reliably. Preferred: Experience in security, law enforcement, surveillance, loss prevention, or CCTV monitoring can strengthen your ability to recognize concerns and contribute to a coordinated response. Your impact: Timely, accurate observations help colleagues address concerns and keep people and property safer.

Pay: $15.00-$16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
