Job Description
As a Security Guard Station Entry in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a government transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors with professionalism and clear communication. You will report observations, respond to concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment. What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer service to transit passengers, visitors, and/or personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed foot patrols of transit facilities, platforms, entrances, surrounding areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or prohibited activity.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
- Monitor access points and observe activity within assigned areas, reporting security-related concerns, hazards, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and designated site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
