Security Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable, professional, and observant Security Guard to monitor and protect the entrance and perimeter of a manufacturing plant. The Security Guard will serve as the first point of contact for all visitors, vendors, and employees, ensuring the safety, security, and compliance of our facility in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.

Potential Supervisory Position or Post Captain Available at a higher rate of pay.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the facility, including verification of employee and visitor credentials.
• Maintain a visible presence at the guard house to deter unauthorized entry and monitor for potential security risks.
• Conduct regular patrols of the perimeter and parking areas as assigned.
• Receive, inspect, and document deliveries and shipments entering or leaving the facility.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, delivery records, and security incident reports.
• Communicate effectively with employees, vendors, and visitors, providing directions or guidance as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in security, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment.
• Knowledge of security procedures, emergency response, and access control systems.
• Strong observational and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond to emergencies appropriately.
• Physical ability to sit or stand for extended periods and conduct patrols when necessary.

Preferred:

• Security certification or relevant training (e.g., CPR, First Aid, Food Safety Awareness).
• Experience in a regulated environment (food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or similar).

Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

License/Certification:

• Florida D Security License (Preferred)
