Pay Rates: $17.00 – $18.50 per hour

Securitas is seeking highly professional, customer-focused Armed Security Officers to join our Houston team. We currently have opportunities available at multiple client sites requiring dependable, mature, and security-minded professionals who can maintain a strong security presence while delivering exceptional customer service.

These roles are ideal for experienced commissioned officers who are comfortable working in dynamic environments, adapting to various assignments, and responding professionally to operational and security-related situations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors
• Control access points and verify credentials
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols
• Monitor property for potential security or safety concerns
• Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and customer requests
• Complete detailed and accurate incident reports
• Operate mobile reporting applications and security technology platforms
• Provide exceptional customer service in high-visibility environments
• Support special events and operational coverage as needed
• Maintain a professional armed security presence at all times

Minimum Qualifications

Required

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must possess a valid Texas Level III Commissioned Security Officer License
• Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License
• Minimum 2 years of commissioned (armed) security experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to legally work in the United States

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to patrol large properties and work outdoors when required
• Ability to safely operate company or client vehicles
• Ability to work extended shifts, including 12-hour shifts when operationally necessary

• Strong access control and patrol experience
• Experience working special events, commercial properties, or corporate environments
• A demonstrated history of professionalism and reliability
• The ability to quickly adapt to different sites, post orders, and client expectations
• A command presence consistent with commissioned security responsibilities

Scheduling & Availability

Candidates must be willing to work:

• Evenings and overnight shifts
• Weekends
• Overtime as needed
• Special events
• Last-minute operational coverage when required
