Lead Armed Security Officer (Full-Time & Part-Time)Job Overview

ITAC Security is seeking reliable, professional, and highly motivated Lead Armed Security Officers to join our growing team. We are currently hiring for both full-time and part-time positions.

As a premier provider of security services, ITAC Security is committed to protecting schools, places of worship, community organizations, executive protection clients, and special events throughout Southern California.

This position is ideal for experienced security professionals who can take initiative, support operations across multiple sites, and serve as a liaison between field personnel and management. The ideal candidate has military, law enforcement, or strong private security experience, demonstrates leadership, and can respond effectively to incidents while maintaining a calm and professional presence.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead security officer on assigned shifts and provide support across multiple sites as needed.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, dispatch, and management regarding daily operations, scheduling, and incidents.
• Patrol assigned locations to deter criminal activity and ensure the safety of clients, staff, students, and visitors.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents while following company protocols.
• Assist with call-outs and last-minute coverage when operationally necessary.
• Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV, and maintain strong situational awareness.
• Enforce company policies and client procedures professionally and consistently.
• Complete accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Provide First Aid and CPR when required and assist during emergency situations.
• De-escalate conflicts using sound judgment and effective communication.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and required training through ITAC Academy.
• Be available for overtime opportunities based on operational needs.

Qualifications

• Valid California BSIS Guard Card.
• Valid California BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit
• Prior military, law enforcement, or professional armed security experience preferred.
• Leadership experience or the ability to serve as a lead officer.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with surveillance systems and security operations.
• Ability to successfully complete in-house ITAC Security training before beginning the assigned position.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between client locations when needed.
• Strong observation, decision-making, and report-writing skills.
• Professional appearance and a customer-service mindset.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime when required.

What We Offer

Full-Time Employees

• Starting pay of $28.00 per hour
• Pay increase to $29.00 per hour after successfully completing the 90-day probationary period
• $500 retention bonus after completing six months of continuous employment
