Pay Range: $28.50 Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. GardaWorld offers a competitive hourly wage, monthly canine stipend, and daily canine care and maintenance pay.
POSITION SUMMARY INFORMATION: DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS
Job Summary:
The Explosives Detection Canine (EDC) Handler (Armed) plays a crucial role in ensuring the security and safety of client shopping mall locations by conducting thorough searches for explosives alongside an explosives detection canine.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The EDC Handler will be paired with an explosives detection canine and will search for explosives at client shopping mall location(s).
Required Education, Certifications, Licenses, and Experience:
Must be a US citizen.
Preferred Education, Certifications, Licenses, and Experience:
Legally own and possess an Arizona registered approved Glock 9mm semiautomatic pistol.
Work Environment:
Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
Physical Requirements:
Employees may be required to remain in a stationary position, stand, push, pull, climb, kneel, crawl, balance, squat, bend, and reach during shifts. Employees may be also required to use gear to move items around, including, but not limited to, carts and dollies. Employees may also be occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds.
