Position Details:
Position: Full Time Security Guard
City: Toronto
Hours: Monday to Friday (2300 – 0600)
Pay: $21.00 / an hour
Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 Hours

Key Responsibilities:

Be able to comprehend and demonstrate competencies of the site and the Security policies and procedures with an ability to use a customer service approach

Assist visitors, and residences during crisis and contact the necessary emergency services as needed

Enthusiastically conducts proactive patrols (exterior and Interior), and be able to address policy breeches, and note facility concerns.

Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner as not to create a panic amongst the residence

Ability to de-escalate a crisis, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including; police, fire and paramedic resources

Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries

Ability to provide first aid and medical response when required to any person

Monitor entrances, exits, common areas, and security systems (CCTV, alarms, key access)

Prevent unauthorized access, trespassing, vandalism, theft, and other security risks

Accurately document incidents, patrols, and daily activities in written reports or logs
-
Interact respectfully and professionally with tenants, visitors, staff, and contractors, while providing direction and assistance

Work closely with property management, housing support staff, and local authorities
Prerequisites:
-
Valid Security License for the province of Ontario

Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider

English (oral and written) fluency is a must
-
Prior Security Experience is an asset

Vulnerable Sector Check
-
Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
-
Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin’s Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
