Field Intrusion Security Guard

Paladin Security is proud to provide security services to major events this summer, including FIFA events and other venues. We are seeking experienced Security Officers to join our Field Intrusion team in full-time and part-time capacities. In this unique role, you will be responsible for enforcing venue, client, Paladin, and league safety and security policies, preventing unauthorized access to the field and other restricted areas, to protect players, coaches, and officials.

A high degree of professionalism, discretion, and decision-making is required for this role, along with the physical ability and willingness to go "hands on" in escalated situations to detain offenders until police intervention.

Please note this is a temporary contract with shifts starting in May 2026 and anticipated to end in July/August 2026, with the potential for conversion into permanent employment with Paladin Security afterwards.

Our team will be working 24/7, but most shifts will be during day or afternoon hours, with a pay rate of $27.00/hour.


Responsibilities:

  • Monitor field access points and restricted areas
  • Prevent and respond to field / pitch intrusion attempts
  • Proactively diffuse potentially violent situations using verbal de-escalation techniques
  • Execute physical responses using approved techniques, working in conjunction with other Security Officers and law enforcement to apprehend and control offenders as a last resort
  • Effectively communicate with event security teams, emergency services providers, and other stakeholders
  • Write detailed daily reports and incident reports
  • Other duties as required to meet operational needs


Requirements:

  • Valid BC Security License
  • Prior work experience in security, law enforcement, or related positions, preferably including tactical responses in escalated situations
  • Physical ability to complete the duties of the role, including restraining and controlling offenders as needed, and standing for extended periods of time
  • Strong problem solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to handle dynamic high stress situations calmly and professionally
