Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly attentive Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator to support 24/7 security operations at a high‑security data center in Irving, TX. This role is responsible for monitoring critical security systems, coordinating incident responses, dispatching security personnel, and maintaining the integrity and safety of a mission‑critical facility.
Candidates must bring strong situational awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast‑paced, technology‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate security systems including CCTV, access control platforms, intrusion detection, and alarm systems.
- Receive, evaluate, and prioritize security‑related notifications, alarms, and emergency calls.
- Dispatch security officers, technicians, and emergency services as required.
- Track, document, and escalate incidents in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain constant situational awareness of facility operations, visitor activity, and security threats.
- Monitor badge activity and access logs; investigate irregular or unauthorized access events.
- Generate and distribute real‑time reports, shift activity logs, and incident summaries.
- Communicate effectively with onsite security teams, management, and client stakeholders.
- Follow all SOC standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and compliant operations.
- Support business continuity, critical incident management, and escalations as directed.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Security, Facilities, IT, and Emergency Response.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC), command center, alarm monitoring, or incident response environment
- Experience monitoring and operating enterprise-level security systems (CCTV, access control, alarm panels, etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to relay concise, accurate information under pressure
- High attention to detail and excellent situational awareness
- Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Ability to analyze data, interpret alarms, and make sound decisions quickly
- Ability to obtain and maintain any client‑required security clearances or certifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting critical infrastructure or high‑security environments such as data centers, telecom facilities, or financial institutions.
- Familiarity with security platforms such as Lenel, Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, or similar systems.
- Prior experience creating incident reports, shift logs, or dispatch documentation.
- Training or certification in security, emergency communications, or critical incident response.
