Security Officer

Job Overview:
USS Security is currently looking for Un-Armed Security Officers to fill full-time, part-time and flex positions in San Jose, California area.

We currently have morning and swing positions available – MUST have weekend availability. Current shift available are Monday-Sunday 10am-6pm and 6pm-12am.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

o Must have valid California BSIS license. (Guard card)

o Minimum of a GED/High School Diploma (for reading, comprehension, and basic math skills).

o Three years security experience within the last 5 years.

o Ability to use computers and Microsoft office (Excel, Word, etc.), monitor security cameras, and send and receive email using MS Outlook.

o Must be a US Citizen with valid Social Security Card; birth certificate; 21 years of age; fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English

o Ability to follow established procedures and policies. Post orders to include enforcement of client/company rules, policies, and/or regulations.

o Excellent attention to detail, good verbal and written communications, including legible report writing.

o Ability to provide quality Customer Service.

o Ability to analyze and produce course of action reporting and escalate issues to management in typical and crisis situations.

o Ability to work independently or as part of a small group to resolve urgent issues, process orientated with high attention to detail, provide precise/clear information while working under minimum supervision.

o Ability to perform essential functions of the position which may include long periods of sitting, walking, standing, climbing stairs

o Ability to see, hear, and smell in order to respond to alarms and detect emergency situations.

o Reliable and have a strong work ethic.

o Reliable transportation and current Driver’s License or California ID

o Must be able to pass a background check covering the last 10 years and pass a drug screening due to the nature of the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Guard card, Baton permit. CPR, First Aid training is a plus.

HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE: Schedule will be discussed at the interview. Must be able to work weekends and overtime as needed and required.

PAY: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
