Armed Security Officer / Oakland / $24.00 – $26.00 per hour *DOE

Available shifts:

• SATURDAYS ONLY; 4pm to midnight

Job Duties Include:

• Conduct routine patrols and maintain security of assigned property, safeguarding against illegal activity including: theft, loitering, trespassing and vandalism
• Monitor and secure entry points; observe and report suspicious activity on the property
• Monitor property parking areas to ensure residents are authorized and parking legally
• Conduct property lockups as required
• Respond to Calls for Service from residents and property management
• Must maintain professionalism at all times
• Uphold and maintain confidentiality of privileged information obtained during the course of your duty at all times
• Be aware and alert for any safety concerns or hazards
• Provide immediate response to issues and emergencies as they arise
• Provide accurate and detailed observations and write clear and concise reports of all daily activities, incidents including priority and maintenance issues

Required Certifications:

• Please note that you MUST have a current BSIS Guard Card and firearm permit
• BSIS Guard Card (Current)
• Exposed Firearm Permit (Current)
• All BSIS Annual and other required training certifications
• Must be able to communicate clearly in spoken and written English to perform job duties.

Preferred:

• BSIS Baton Permit
• Chemical Permit

Other Requirements:

• Applicants must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check
