Unarmed Security Guard — Church Site | San Francisco | $20.50/hr | Immediate Start

Starnet Security is hiring one licensed Security Guard for a house of worship site in San Francisco. This is a steady, consistent post with a fixed weekly schedule — the same shifts every week, no rotating hours, Saturdays off.

The site is a small, quiet community location. Your role is presence, observation, and hospitality: you are often the first person congregants and visitors see. We are looking for someone calm, courteous, and dependable who takes the responsibility of protecting a place of worship seriously.

Schedule (36 hours per week)

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Sunday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Saturdays off

Pay: $20.50 per hour, paid bi-weekly.

What you’ll do

• Maintain a visible, professional security presence at all entrances and on the grounds
• Greet and assist congregants, staff, and visitors
• Monitor the property, parking area, and access points; control entry during services and events
• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations
• Write clear, accurate daily activity and incident reports
• Respond to disturbances calmly and de-escalate; contact emergency services when needed
• Assist with opening/closing and securing the building
• Support crowd flow during services, funerals, and special events

What you need

• Valid California BSIS Guard Card (active, in hand)
• Minimum 6 months of security guard experience
• 18 years or older, high school diploma or GED
• Authorized to work in the U.S.; must pass a background check and drug screening
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance — this is a single-guard post, so showing up on time matters
• Clear written and verbal English communication for reports and interacting with the public
• Ability to stand and walk for the majority of a 6-hour shift

Nice to have

• Prior experience at a church, school, hospital, or other community site
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Customer service background
