Unarmed Security Officer

Job description:

Resolute’s Security Officers are the BRAND AMBASSADORS of the company and are crucial to help maintain relations with our clients and their employees.

You must be BSIS-Guard Card Licensed to apply. We are seeking for IMMEDIATE STAFFING reliable, experienced Unarmed Security Officers for a high-rise commercial building in San Jose.

Shifts are:

• Monday and Tuesday 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM (Graveyard Shift)

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have a valid BSIS Guard Card
• Must have a valid California Driver’s License
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Duties:

• Ensures the facility is provided with high quality security services to protect people and property.
• Preserves order and acts to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Maintain awareness of and familiarity with the site-specific operations performance and post orders.
• Build, improve, and maintain effective relationships with both clients and employees.
• Communicate clearly with the client and Resolute management to ensure optimal and consistent service levels.
• Control and monitor access to the client’s premises and conduct frequent foot patrols.
• Monitor CCTV surveillance system.
• Hourly status updates and patrol QR tag scans in the Daily Activity Report and Immediate Incident Report whenever an issue occurs.

These physical demands are representative of the requirements necessary for a Security Officer to successfully perform the functions of this position:

• Use hands and fingers to handle or feel and to manipulate objects.
• Speaking and hearing enough to effectively communicate.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time without rest.
• Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift.
• Reach with arms and hands, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Bending, pushing, moving, lifting objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Minimum 2 years’ proven experience.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid BSIS Guard Card.
• Valid CA driver’s license.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• 32 Hour BSIS Security Officer Training Certificate.
• Knowledge of and experience using electronic reporting systems, preferably Silvertrac.
• Bi-lingual English / Spanish is a plus.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Night shift

Experience:

• Security Guard: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• BSIS Guard Card (Required)
• Driver’s License (Required)
