Security Officer – Flex/On-Call/Part-time

Job Description:

National Security Industries is seeking dedicated and reliable Flex Guards to join our team. Flex Guards are on-call security professionals who play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security at various locations. They are essential for filling in positions as needed, taking part-time shifts, and potentially transitioning to full-time roles based on performance. Flex Guards may also be called upon for part-time or full-time patrol positions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-call security services to various locations in Santa Cruz and Watsonville.
• Respond promptly to fill in for regular security personnel as needed.
• Perform part-time security shifts, ensuring the safety and security of assigned locations.
• Monitor and patrol assigned areas, including but not limited to, buildings, grounds, and parking lots.
• Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain order and protect property.
• Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and suspicious activities.
• Maintain detailed records and logs of all activities during shifts.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in security or related field preferred.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to various job sites in Santa Cruz and Watsonville.
• Valid security guard license as required by state regulations.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
