Armed Security Officer

Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Armed Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. This role requires a highly responsible individual with a strong background in security protocols, conflict management, and emergency response. The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience in law enforcement, military service, or security operations, along with excellent observational skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security breaches
• Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems and other security equipment to identify potential threats or suspicious activities
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, including medical incidents requiring first aid or CPR if necessary
• Enforce company policies and legal regulations related to security and safety standards
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism and de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe environment
• Document incidents accurately through detailed reports and maintain logs of daily activities
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required and assist in investigations or loss prevention efforts
• Conduct routine checks of security equipment and report any malfunctions or concerns for maintenance
• Provide assistance to visitors or employees as needed, ensuring a welcoming yet secure environment

Qualifications

• Proven experience in law enforcement, military service, or private security roles is preferred
• Valid certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and loss prevention techniques
• Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Ability to operate security equipment effectively and perform basic troubleshooting when necessary
• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and strong observational skills
• Ability to pass background checks and obtain any necessary licensing or permits for armed security work
• Prior experience with law enforcement procedures or military training is considered an asset
